The Sinister Princess
Attracted by a luscious aroma, small birds perch on her moist,
curling lip. They bathe their tiny claws in what seems an
elixir of innocence–honey, cardamom, rose petals, dew.
Alas, they discover the truth of this nectar: It is sticky and
laced with poison. Eventually, she spits out their bones.
